The ski jumping hills at Pragelato was built especially for the 20th Winter Olympic Games in Turin, scheduled for 2006. In 2006, a competition for Olympic medals was held in Pragelato. Lars Bystoel triumphed on the normal hill, Thomas Morgenstern and the Austrian team triumphed on the large hill. A year later, Pragelato also hosted the Winter Universiade, in December 2008 the World Cup competitions returned here, and in the years 2007-2009 the Summer Grand Prix competitions were also held.
