Construction works started in 1989 and 30,000 m³ of earth and stone had to be transported in order to form the ski jumps on the hill and protect them from the wind. At the same time up to 200 workers were employed on site and the total construction cost was nearly 20 million Euro - more than twice the original budget.
The current record is 101.5 m and belongs to Arthur Royer, set up during the French Junior Championships.
