Kyrksæterøra K48

by Palma

Description

Ski jumping hill in Kyrksæterøra was designed by norwegian architect Øle Helge Vårtssen in 1956, initially having it's K point at 35 meters. In 1965 it was reconstructed, and it's K point was moved to 48 meters. It's made 100% out of wood, and even tho the construction is very old and obsolete, it's still used by Kyrksæterøra IL ski jumping club. In 1973 it was supposed to held Norwegian Junior Championship, but due to poor weather conditions, it was cancelled. In 2010 the hill was renovated to keep the massive wooden construction in one piece.
