In 1930 in Le Brassus, the "la Chirurgienne" ski jump was inaugurated. In 1954 a new steel inrun tower was built, the hill was enlarged to K-75.
In 1970 started major reconstruction, designed by Heini Klopfer. The inrun was extended by new 10 starting platforms, landing slope angle was changed to 39 degrees, hill size increased to P-83, K-100. The inaugural competition was watched by 15,000 spectators.
In 1987 Europa Cup competition, Gérard Balanche set a hill record of 107.5 meters, which was the last record of la Chirurgienne.
The hill lost its FIS certificate in 1993. It was also the last homologated hill with a landing slope of 39 degrees. Since the last competition in 1994 the hill has been depraving. Finally in June 2002, la Chirurgienne was demolished.
Ski club did not have funds to adapt hill to the FIS rules. The opportunity was organization 1994 Olympic Games in Lausanne. The plan was to build a new K90 and K116 hills, but finally olympic games were held in Lillehammer.
