The idea to build a ski jump came from the former ski jumper Leoš Škoda. The chairman for ski jumping at the Czech Ski Federation wanted to change the fact that young ski jumpers from Liberec and Jablonec did not have any training hills. With a couple of volunteers he managed to build the HS 12 within one year. He also provided the money for it together with his brother. The ski jump is built according to modern standards and is used by kids in the age between 6 and 13 all year long - thanks to a ceramic inrun track and plastic mattings.
