Lønnbergbakken in Raufoss was inaugurated in 1921 and in 1940 hosted the first Norwegian Championships.
In 1968 major reconstruction began, including changing the hill profile, new judges' tower and a new in-run tower. The in-run tower was made of 10 tons of aluminum profiles, manufactured at the aluminum factory in Raufoss, costing about 70 000 - 80 000 kroner.
In 1986-1987 Lønnbergbakken was enlarged to K90, then smaller hills were built up to K60 hill with plastic and ceramic tracks.
In 1990 Lønnbergbakken hosted the World Cup competitions, which had to be moved from Bærum to Raufoss due to lack of snow. The only World Cup competition in Raufoss was won by Andreas Felder ahead of Heinz Kuttin and Jens Weißflog.
Due to the high cost of maintaining ski jumping facilities, Raufoss IL decided to close the hills at Lønnberget. The last jumps on the K90 hill took place in March 2014.
The hill record holder is Daniel André Tande, who jumped 103.5 metres during the Norges Cup in 2012.
